THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK
A roof needs to breathe.
Fresh air enters low at the soffits. Warm, moist air leaves high through the exhaust vents. That clear path is what makes a vented attic work.

THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK
Fresh air enters low at the soffits. Warm, moist air leaves high through the exhaust vents. That clear path is what makes a vented attic work.
01HIDDEN PROBLEM 01
Insulation belongs on your attic floor. When it covers the soffit openings, it can cut off the outside air your ventilation system needs.
02HIDDEN PROBLEM 02
Seeing vents on your roof does not tell you whether you have enough. We check attic area, each vent’s usable opening, and the balance of intake and exhaust.
03HIDDEN PROBLEM 03
A powered fan, box vents, ridge vents and gable vents can work against each other in a shared attic. Air can take a shortcut between vents instead of sweeping the attic.
04A BETTER WAY FORWARD
Open the intake. Establish a clear airflow path. Match the exhaust to your home. When appropriate, that may include a solar attic fan—with adequate intake and attention to air sealing.
05THE COST OF IGNORING IT
Heat and moisture can build up in an attic that isn’t working as a system. Proper ventilation helps protect roofing materials, manage attic moisture and support your home’s comfort.

THE RIGHT FIX STARTS WITH THE RIGHT DIAGNOSIS
Your home may need one improvement or several working together. We inspect first, then explain the options.
Clear blocked soffits and assess baffles or roof-edge intake where the home’s design calls for it.
Assess usable vent capacity and choose a compatible exhaust approach, rather than mixing systems.
Evaluate solar attic fans where suitable, with adequate intake and attention to attic air sealing.
Review insulation and visible air-leakage concerns alongside ventilation. Each affects how the attic performs.

GOOD QUESTIONS
Yes. The energy audit and included roof inspection are free, with no obligation to purchase an upgrade.
No. A fan needs adequate outside-air intake. We evaluate the home’s airflow path, insulation, air sealing and existing vents before recommending a solution.
It depends on attic floor area, roof design, the net free area of the vents, and applicable requirements. Counting vents alone does not establish whether your attic is properly ventilated.
No. First, submit your contact details. Then choose an appointment using the scheduling link on the next page.
Results depend on the home and the cause of the problem. We explain the findings and suitable improvements without promising a specific savings percentage or roof lifespan.
